Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a gentle, natural healing technique that channels universal life force energy to support balance and well-being. It promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and helps restore harmony to the body, mind, and spirit. The word Reiki comes from two Japanese words: “Rei” (universal) and “Ki” (life energy). 


Reiki may help:

Reduce stress and anxiety

High/Low blood pressure
Relieve tension and fatigue

Fear/Phobia
Support better sleep

Migraines and Headaches
Ease emotional pain or grief

Promote spiritual growth and inner clarity
Enhance overall balance and vitality


Reiki works by channeling healing energy through the practitioner’s hands to the recipient. This energy flows to where it’s most needed — physically, emotionally, mentally, or spiritually — supporting the body’s natural ability to heal itself.
You may feel warmth, tingling, or a deep sense of peace during a session. Even if you don’t feel specific sensations, Reiki energy is still working subtly to restore balance.


You’ll lie down fully clothed on a massage or Reiki table in a calm, soothing space. The practitioner will lightly place their hands on or just above different areas of your body.
Soft music, crystals, or aromatherapy may be used to create a peaceful environment. Most people experience deep relaxation and sometimes fall asleep during the session.


Experiences vary, but common sensations include:

Warmth or tingling in the body
Waves of relaxation or lightness
Gentle emotional release or peaceful stillness
Subtle visuals or intuitive insights
Every session is unique — Reiki meets you exactly where you are.


Wear comfortable clothing.
Avoid heavy meals, caffeine, or alcohol right before your appointment. 

Take a few moments to set an intention — such as “I’m open to healing,” or “I’m ready to receive. Arrive a few minutes early to relax and settle your energy.


Drink plenty of water to help energy flow and release toxins.
Rest or journal any insights or emotions that arise.
Avoid rushing into stressful activities right after.
Listen to your body — you may feel light, emotional, sleepy, or deeply peaceful. All are normal responses to energy work.


This depends on your goals and how your body responds:

For general relaxation or stress relief, one session may bring noticeable calm and balance.
For chronic conditions or emotional healing, a series of 3–5 sessions (spaced weekly or bi-weekly) often provides deeper results.
Some clients choose regular maintenance sessions — such as monthly — to stay centered and aligned.
Your practitioner can help you create a personalized plan.


No. Reiki is a complementary healing practice, not a replacement for professional medical treatment.
It can safely be used alongside traditional medicine, therapy, or other holistic modalities to enhance overall well-being and reduce. This depends on your goals and how your body responds:
